Team Canada’s Success at Beijing 2022 Paralympic Games

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TORONTO (March 14, 2022) – Canadian Sport Institute Ontario (CSIO) would like to congratulate Team Canada on its success at the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Games. The Canadian Team delivered powerful performances, bringing home 25 medals – 8 Gold, 6 Silver, 11 Bronze. Team Canada finished 3rd in the Total Medal Count at the Games.

Ontario athletes are bringing home 6 medals – 2 Silver, 4 Bronze. Ontario athletes won 24% of Team Canada’s medals at the Games.

CSIO would also like to congratulate CSIO Board of Director, Greg Westlake (Para Ice Hockey) on capping an incredible athletic career with a Silver medal at the Games. Beijing 2022 was his fifth Paralympic Games, and he has previously won three Paralympic Medals – Gold (Torino 2006), Silver (PyeongChang 2018), and Bronze (Sochi 2014).
