Vitamin D is not only a performance supplement, it also serves to support immune cells. It can be difficult to achieve the required amount through food alone so taking a supplement can be beneficial, especially while we are cooped up indoors! Remember your daily vitamin D supplement if already taking one or consult your health care practitioner to find out if a vitamin D supplement is right for you.
Keep a daily watch on how much you pee and the colour, if the amount is less than usual and/or if it is darker than a pale lemonade, focus on drinking more over the day. All fluids contribute!
Smoothies are great - but why not get more creative with our blender! Try a bean or veggie-based soup, dip, or energy bite. Check out the recipes below for some blender motivation!
Stick to a consistent eating schedule even if the rest of your schedule is out-of-whack! Similar to our muscles, our immune system needs protein to rebuild and stay strong and enough energy to do its job. Check our resources on immune health and balancing your plate below!
