S&C with CSIO: Neutral Grip Seated Row

Learn simple strength and conditioning exercises with CSIO’s experts in S&C with CSIO!
  1. Start seated in a rowing machine with feet planted in front of you or on the platform.
  2. Grasp the handles with a neutral grip (palms facing each other).
  3. Pull the handles back, keeping your shoulders down and moving your elbows back, shoulder blades squeezed.
  4. When the handles reach your sides, pause and return to starting position.

You should feel this exercise in your upper back and shoulders.
