Canadian Sport Institute Ontario (CSIO) is pleased to welcome Ryan MacDonald as CSIO’s new Strength and Conditioning Coach. Ryan will be responsible for planning, consulting and delivering strength and conditioning programs to targeted Provincial Sport Organizations (PSOs) and National Sport Organizations (NSOs), with a focus on Volleyball Canada’s Beach Volleyball program. Ryan joins a team of Strength and Conditioning specialists at CSIO who provide world-class programs to help high performance athletes perform optimally during training and competition.
“On behalf of CSIO, I would like to warm welcome to Ryan as our new Strength and Conditioning Coach,” said Troy Taylor, CSIO’s Director, Sport Science and Sport Medicine. “Ryan brings with him a wealth of knowledge from his years of experience working within the provincial, national and professional sport community, and will be a great addition to our team. Ryan will play a key role in working with Beach Volleyball and the Volleyball Canada Full-time Training Centre.”

Ryan MacDonald - Biography
Ryan has an Honours BA in Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University and is in the process of completing his MSc in Exercise Science from University of Toronto. Over the past 10 years, he has spent time working with provincial, national and professional athletes from a variety of sports and is looking forward to enhancing the performance of Canada’s top athletes at CSIO.
