Cooking Workshop: Introduction to Cooking

This cooking workshop is focused on getting athletes in the kitchen making wholesome, delicious meals from scratch. During this interactive workshop, participants will learn:

  • Basic cookery and knife skills
  • How to utilize simple kitchen equipment
  • Principles for building balanced meals and snacks
  • Meal planning for the week and effectively using leftovers

All workshops will include vegetarian options. Athletes will also receive recipe handouts to make the recipes at home.


  • Chicken, Mango and Curry Tortilla
  • Sweet Potato and Black Bean Chili
  • Chicken, Celery and Curried Apple Salad
  • Pork Tenderloin with Apple, Thyme and Sweet Potatoes
  • Kale Salad with Fennel, Honey Crisp and Goat Cheese
  • Pumpkin Pie Energy Bites

*This workshop is open to all CSIO AAP Carded and OHPSI Athletes
