YOURS TO DISCOVER: TEAM CANADA AND THE ONTARIO ATHLETES FOR THE 2016 OLYMPIC &PARALYMPIC GAMES

TORONTO (July 29, 2016) – Canadian Sport Institute Ontario (CSIO) would like to congratulate the 2 athletes nominated to the Canadian Olympic Trampoline Team for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
The two athletes are:
- Jason Burnett, Nobleton, ON – 2008 Olympic Silver Medallist
- Rosie MacLennan, King City, ON – 2012 Olympic Gold Medallist & Rio 2016 Team Canada Flag Bearer
Samantha Sendel of Aurora, ON was named as an alternate for the Team.
Jason and Rosie, as well as Samantha, have each been supported by CSIO during their career, working closely with CSIO sport science and sport medicine staff who are a vital part of the athletes’ Integrated Support Team (IST). The athletes and their coaches have access to CSIO expert practitioners including Chris Chapman (Strength and Conditioning); Judy Goss (Mental Performance); and Kylie Gibson (Physiotherapy); Heather Sprenger, Devon Frayne, Lindsay Musalem, and Elton Fernandes (Physical Testing and Physiology), as well as Biomechanics and Performance Analysis support that was provided throughout this quadrennial.

Jason and Rosie are former Olympic medalists with long track records of international podium success. Rosie heads into Rio as the reigning Olympic champion and CSIO is extremely proud to have contributed to her daily training environment, delivering sport science and sport medicine support throughout the last two quadrennials.
