In July 2017, CSIO introduced an online registration platform, which includes athletes’ general contact information, general sport information and a digital signature of our waiver forms and code of conduct. This platform has been a powerful tool for keeping a database of Ontario-based high-performance athletes that we support and serve and ensuring athletes’ safety.
For CSIO to serve you better, all athletes must register prior to accessing CSIO spaces/services (TPASC, Milton, York). This includes AAP carded, OHPSI, visiting athletes, athletes coming in for testing, retired athletes and athletes coming in for medical appointments. Athletes are sent an email invitation to register online. Once the registration is completed, the athlete is provided with a brief orientation or onboarding to better explain the services and programs available to them. Once registration and orientation have been completed, the athlete may access CSIO’s spaces and services. CSIO has designed this process to be as efficient as possible and believe strongly that this improved method of registration will better communicate to the athlete all that is available to them.
Scan-in at CSIO TPASC:
Athletes are required to scan in or provide their name to our reception staff at CSIO TPASC site prior to accessing the space. The athlete’s scan-in code is tied to their registration, therefore allowing our reception staff to confirm the registration status and that the athlete’s profile is up to date.
All athletes are required to complete their registration prior to accessing CSIO’s spaces and/or services. If an athlete is not registered in our system, they will not eligible to access the space and/or services.
Prior notice of 48 hours must be given to CSIO for a new or visiting athlete. It is the responsibility of the athlete or the sport to provide 48 hours’ notice of a new athlete’s arrival to CSIO.
As of November 1, 2018, we will no longer be allowing access to an athlete not registered in CSIO’s database. The safety of the high-performance athletes we support is important to us and this policy ensures that athletes are training and receiving exceptional service in a safe and welcoming environment.
