CSIO is thrilled to rollout the next installment of our Athlete Spotlight program! This initiative highlights selected CSIO registered athletes throughout the year on our website and social media outlets. Athletes who are selected for a highlight will receive a gift from Community Partner, Cool Canuck!
This Spotlight goes to Annalise Balasubramanian of Ontario Sailing! Here is why she was selected:
Annalise Balasubramanian
Annie has made big leaps in her sailing over the past year qualifying for both Youth World Sailing Championships and even putting up the best ILCA 6 placement for Sail Canada since 2009 with her 12th place overall in Hauge, Netherlands. Annie has been consistently working hard in her strength training and understands it’s importance for her sport. She has courageously participated in Sail Canada Training Camps the past year to gain experience in the National Space. Bravo Annie!
I am grateful to be nominated for the CSIO Athlete Spotlight! Being able to work with my strength and conditioning coach and other sessions such as mental performance and nutrition through the CSIO has really helped me take my sailing to the next level.
